The lifting tool, or end effector, is the part that has contacts with the load. These may range from simple forks, platforms or booms, to electrically powered rotation units, clamps or advanced manipulators. Design of the lifting tool is obviously critical when it comes to safety, ergonomics and the easy use of the lifter.
